My laptop scroll pad is being slow so I thought 'hmm that looks like a Spaniel to me' and then it caught up with itself and I thought 'good lord that's a cute pup!'

I did the exact same, then re-read It's not a spaniel..... confused!

Then scrolled down off the spaniel face

Very gorgeous. I love seeing pics of other people's GSDs because they are just wonderful and I can admire them safe in the knowledge that it would never be a practical/suitable dog for me so all admiration and no jealousy!

I'll lend her D dog for a little while, D is doing a good job in bending some of my big dog owning friends minds.
She's only 5kg but cheerfully scuttles around with her huge friends, knows all her basic commands at 7.5 months, latest accomplishment is cracking a distance sit and a very solid wait. I'll show them yet.....

To be fair to CC I actively requested assistance and we had been talking about this subject for a few years on and off. The timing and litter was just fortuitous!

The fortuitous litter in my case was perhaps a bit higher up the Nando’s peri-ometer than initially intended. She had every opportunity to say no

We've spent the day trying to work out if he's actually a angel puppy or that we are so used to the spawn of Satan that normal dogs seem weird now...

Sitting down to dinner...8 week old puppy lying calmly on rug beside dining table...8 month old spanners banished to crates for being absolute heathens when asked to settle on their mats......

I imagine if you can train trial bred spaniels anything else will be a peace of cake.
Or… testosterone will kick in and he’ll become a spawn as well.
