I have never seen one of these (I was voting baby wombat). He’s gorgeous! I think I have found a breed to add to my ‘would have’ list of border collies and GSDs! (…going off to read about breed traits now 😄). Can’t wait for more pictures!
Being a GSD and BC girl myself, I can totally see the appeal of this breed too 😍

😍😍 Be prepared for someone to argue with you that he is a corgi, does the name have a meaning?

In Nordic mythology Fenrir/Fenrisulven is the oldest son of Loki/Loke, and the giantess Angerboda, who grew up to be a giant wolf. The direct translation of what Fenrir/Fenris is said to mean in Swedish is The one who hides in the mire, and Ulv/ulven is an older word for varg = wolf.
Fenrir is involved in Ragnarök, however, I want to point out that when googling for info about him in English, I found that he incorrectly sometimes is said to represent the forces of evil and chaos. When I've read about Nordic mythology in Swedish, it have clearly said that even though Fenrir kills Odin/Oden (as retribution for keeping Fenrir chained up for so long), he is not a symbol of evil! Instead Fenrir is mainly the symbol of strength/enormous strength, but also a bit retribution, and inevitability.

ETA: By the way, it was foretold that Fenrir would grow up to kill Odin, but he was so cute when he was little that none of the Gods could kill him.

My little collie was called Fenrir by his breeder. His pet name has evolved away from that. The English chaos version suited him but the Swedish enormous strength not so much!

All of ours are named after Harry Potter characters so he's named after Fenrir Greyback BUT I also love the mythology element, especially as dad's pet name is Loki.

Hopefully if he develops an affinity for attacking children like Potter's Greyback, it will involve less turning them into werewolves, and more turning them into Swedish Vallhund fans. 😁🐺

He’s going to be a special one.

The natural bobs in both valls and corgis are my favourite - he says with two with tails!

I’m so envious, had his sister not literally just found her home - I’d have forgone my ‘not too many young dogs at once’ promise!
