Have finally found a bridle for Ben that I think suits his head. Not the best picture and obviously his face needs a damn good scrub and trim, excuse the reins being on backwards... I tried it on in a rush! And then there is the fact that I just twisted his forelock out the way so that looks awful too... However, here is a pic of the bridle... If anyone thinks it looks god awful I will cry... But I need to know! ;)

~picks up phone~

I'm calling the RSPCA NOW!

You cruel person! :p

~sniggers~

It looks lovely :)

He he!

Thank you :). I tried one the other day with a thinner noseband and it looked awful! Huge weight off my mind to know the bridle is sorted for the shows! He is proper hunter boy now:D

Gosh that is such a nice bridle what make is it? Think that would look good on my horse need it same colour but extra full. Fingers crossed.

Looks just right on him, what a handsome lad!. Could do with one like that for the hairy highland. What make is it?

Very smart, the noseband is a good width for him.

Spot on QB, it really suits him, I excited now for you :D You will have to come over and give me a hand when I get Miss Ebony out and about

Yay!!! *dances round the room singing 'I got something right!!!'*:p:D:D

Yes... BP have been majorly struggling to find the perfect width noseband for him, then my YO comes up with this little gem to borrow:D.

EA. would love to :D I'm sure she will look perfect xx

It's a stubben. I think I'm in love with it... Definitely going to save some pennies and get one for Ben :D

lol nope, what did it say, I only looked at the pretty picture :D

Naww, he does look pretty:D

It said, excuse the reins being backwards I just flung it together, rushing to try it on:p:p.

I promise my reins will be all correct and proper for the show ;) those are just my everyday ones :o

Something like this. Where the headstall strap comes to the noseband it looks nicer stitched, and, please don't be offended, but when the head is on the plain side a thicker noseband makes the profile much nicer.

Ahh yes, I get you, ok well will go with this one for the local show... It's only on a ticket anyway and search for something similar to this for RCS. Thank you :)

No need to bin the bridle - look on Fylde saddlery and just get a thicker noseband, they go upto 2" in width.

It's not my bridle, I'm borrowing it, but have just looked on flyde... They are really reasonable... Will probably get the whole thing from there for RCS

Thank you :)

Spot on, just allow enough time to get it darker if you can't get a good match on the colour.

I think it is difficult to buy a plain bridle. Bling and flash nosebands rule nowadays. The stubben bridle is expensive. A good saddler would make you a plain cavesson hunter bridle for less than that.

Aa - you're a bit of a resident cob guru.... Do you like to see a piebald in brown tack. I am considering changing to brown but all around me are saying no!

Sorry to hijack op!

Aa.. Sadly my local and excellent saddler is stacked with orders and can't guarantee getting it ready for RCS... :( I spoke with him this morning.

Billie... Hijack away ;) :D

Dark brown = yes.
Medium or pale brown (eg stubben's red 'havana' or london tan) = no.
