Nowzad Cats & Dogs - a plea for help

Hello, hopefully I'll not get told off for this...but I really want to help my friend get her dog and cat home from Afgan so thought I'd put a wee plea out to you all. I realise times are very tough just now but if anyone has even £1 to spare Angharad and her family will be so very grateful.

Bumping this, my daughter served in Iraq and her unit adopted a puppy, someone poisoned it before the tour ended, rotten beggars

I really didn't understand the page Is it looking for donations to an animal shelter overseas or for a private individual that lives overseas and wants donations to bring her pets back to the UK?

Having done one of these pages the money goes to the charity not the individual. In this instance it looks like nowzad will be facilitating the animals coming back here as this is something they do as well as running the only animal shelter in afghan. Unfortunately they are having to close the shelter and relocate so are also raising money for that. There a fantastic cause

Thanks for clarifying Victoria In my own opinion I think the just giving page should have a better explanation/link to the main site which is excellent and something I would be inclined to donate to. I really got the wrong impression with the just giving page and was a little unsure if it was a scam or not. I hope they raise the money for the new centre soon

It is a fantastic charity. There is a family on Facebook who have a Nowzad dog called Brin who made it back to the UK. He's a gorgeous little fella.
