NS BIT (HELP/ADVICE)

I just got one of the NS universal bits, like dutch gag but not, can i use two reins with it for xc? as i feel i need more control and i think i may try two reins but it is ok to do this? what a bout a curb chain? thanks

I've seen them advertised with a curb chain, you could use that and maybe roundings? I could'nt cope with two reins xc!

roundings? sorry what are those i dont think i have ever used those

They are a piece of leather that go from one ring to the other and then you can just use one rein instead of two. Hope this makes sense. You see these a lot with Pelhams.
