Can anyone tell me if NS bits come up larger/smaller than you would expect? ie. Mylers tend to come up a little large - Dante finds 5" bits 'snug' (but bigger too wide?) and his myler is quite large even though it is a 5".

Looking at trying one of their eggbutt snaffles but want to know this before I buy one! :p

Thanks

Thanks :) They just look so tiny, I had hold of a 5" the other day and thought it would be better for my 11.1 pony than 15.2hh Dante :o Will keep an eye out for a 5.5" I think :)

I always thought that they came up larger - I had a beval bit (loose ring wilkie show snaffle gag thing) in 5.75" and it looked much larger than his other bit in the same size, but maybe because the mouthpiece on the NS was thinner, it made it look longer.

NS are small in sizing I have a 4.5" hanging baucher for my tiny head 12.2 pony, his usual size, & it's too small but unfortunately I tried it without the bubble wrap on it & he's marked the metal so I can't exchange it.

My horse takes a 5 1/2 in myler which looks slightly too big so ordered same size in NS but in a loose ring and his lips just touched the hole on the edge so went up to a 5 3/4 in the NS and this fits fine.
