Hey,

I want to spoil myself/horse basically, tried a NS on before, and the difference - I couldn't even imagine they made so much difference! At the moment I have him in a bog standard loose ring french-link, we haven't got any major problems, we'll use it for show jumping and dressage up to medium level. In an ideal world, I would like a miracle bit, for making him a lot softer, and easier to turn (but still want to keep the loose ring element, so please don't suggest fulhams/full cheeks :) ) So question is - most suitable bit and what is the blinking difference, read loads of different stuff - did also have the verbinend on my my list, but sounds a bit harsh, considering I want to make life easier for him :P - major jumble, wish it was simpler (I will be trialling my bit from the BitBank, but I'd rather get it right first shot ;) )

Thanks :P

I went through lots of different bits this year, starting with a fulmer to fuller french link, loose ring snaffle, normal snaffle, then tried NS full cheek tranz lozenge and finally settled on hanging cheek NS tranz lozenge. Big fan of bit bank here!

Not tried the team up so can't really comment on them, but my experience this year has taught me that bitting is only a small fraction of the equation. whilst the hanging cheek, and NS in general, has made a huge improvement to my boy, it wasn't the miracle cure I was hoping for - still comes down to the hard work. I would still recommend them but I remember reading all about such and such bit was going to lift him at the shoulder, make him lovely and round, he would accept the contact consistently etc.. getting all excited before it arrived thinking that we were going to turn into grand prix superstars instantly.. alas.. i'm still searching for that miracle cure ;)

Not tried the team up but I am a fan of the NS tranz angled lozenge - horsey seems to be too - certainly he accepts it more readily than the french link I started with x
