NS / Myler bits....

Give Heather at NS a call- so knowledgeable and lovely and really helps you find the right bit, she also advised me to be wary when trying from a bit bank as some are cons...she suggested a really good, reliable one in which I can't quite remember the name of, but if you ask she will tell you.

All the best :)

I had a myler comfort snaffle for my horse and it made her mouth really sore. We went to a bitting clinic at our local saddlery with a talk from Neue Schule (Heather) they were really helpful and I now have a Neue Schule Verbindend bit. My horse is really happy in it and haven't had any problems. As the other poster said, give them a call and discuss your horse and they can advise on the best bit for your horse.

We use the NS range. I have always stuck to the “Team up” – a loose ring snaffle very similar to this and they have all taken very well to these bits. My youngster however has been ten times better with regard to consistency of contact since being in the tranz baucher as per the link above. I don’t believe in the idea that bits can solve or make up for schooling issues, only good training can do that ;) however he seems happier in this bit compared to the loose ring and therefore works better.
