Haven't really done a competition report before, so thought I'd do one now!
We did BD for the second time - but this one was done completely solo, so no caller and also with no medical calmers (severe anxiety on my part). I didn't tell anyone, apart from my long suffering OH (who is also a SuperGroom) so that helped massively as didn't have perceived pressure of completion.
Anywho, despite 6 points deducted for errors - we got 65% which I thought was pretty good! Gutted about the lost marks as I worked it out to be 69% had it'd been perfect
But still got a smart green frilly and another qualifying score under our belt for the Draught Championship!!
Pictures (I know I need work, it's on the cards from next week onwards) of the BD:
Then, today he did Workers.
For the First. Time. Ever.
Last time he did a full course was about 5/6 years ago and it was a 1ft nursery stakes. My friend is my show rider (I'm too chicken poop) as she is far neater, lighter and braver than me so gets a much better tune out of him. I might possibly have neglected to tell her this was his first time doing this height (2'3) for a whole course....
But they managed a 2nd! An unlucky pole down on a long downhill approach meant no chance of a win, but still did incredibly well! He was in his element, had lots of admirers and cuddles off random children
Some pictures of the handsome Austrian *wub*
(BD pictures bought for social media use, and the watermarked ones are a friend of a friend and have his permission to post)
