I'm a dog walker.
I walk up to 4 dogs at a time (Not my dogs so won't walk more then that) or with my own, 5 or 6.
Whenever I walk 3 or more dogs, I get at least one comment, I always get told I've got my hands full lol.
So is any more then 2 dogs a handfull? I don't have any problems.

Met a guy on Thursday, I was walking 4 dogs, and we had a conversation,
Him: Blimey have you got enough dogs
me: Well I own 11
him: (shocked face) 11! how do you feed them all
me: we cope

As I walked away I heard him say "she controls them better then most people with one dog" :D That made me smile.

Sorry, bit of an odd post lol

Im jsut on me way out now with 10:D, I usually walk about 10, sometimes either me or OH or both of us together, he walks 6 of the dogs he walks together.

Lol I tend to stick to owning/walking 1 dog per hand (I feel the same about kids too) I walk my 2 but also walk my nans rotti (not with mine as she is dog aggressive and I don't have a 3rd hand :) ). Don't know how you manage all those dogs  what do you do if they pull in different directions or fall out (numpty questions I know lol)

ETS - mine have to stay on lead (also why I only walk/own 2)

Pull:eek: they are not allowed to pull:p

Pull:eek: they are not allowed to pull:p

:D the number of times my *ahem* supposedly well trained mutts have dragged my through the fields after rabbits (was imagening something similar but with more dogs  ) no pulling at all... how do you do it with so many :p:D

Lol Jake.
I don't just go out and get 4-6 dogs that all pull and try to control them :P
Each dog has been trained individually not to pull and then put into a group :)
I occasionally use halties too, they're brilliant for stopping dogs pulling

I basically tackled the initial pulling one by one, they remember even when out in a pack:rolleyes: I also have a big gob, and dogs are not an issues they will happily ignore, if they spot something in the field and show alert they are warned, thats enough to have them fall back into line, once we hit the field they are all off, they remain in a little pack arounf us, they never run off, they know better:rolleyes:

I used to walk 4 greyhounds/lurchers together without any problems (unless they all saw a cat when they were on the lead :D) but I am pretty used to walking multiple dogs - we used to walk around a dozen most of the time when I lived at home :D:D

I could never work out why my ex-OH (6'3" and built like a brick outhouse) could never cope with walking 4 when I found it so easy (5'2" and slim in those days!)
