I'm looking for a thin cotton, just plain normal numnah to go under my newly fitted (treed) saddle. I was using a Nuumed but horse has so little wither it just rucks up and pulls backwards. So I swapped back to the saddle pad the Solution saddle fitter got me (for my previous Ansur saddle), which is specifically made for flat backed cobs. I think it's also a Nuumed. I can still pull it up into the gullet, but just a normal amount and it stays in place. The only thing is that it has the 'Smart' logo emblazoned on it and I'm not using a Smart saddle.

Not a huge problem, but I thought it would be an easy thing to find a similar numnah or saddle pad for a flat backed horse, without padding or sheepskin or any bells and whistles. It seems not, in fact I'm losing the will to live just looking.

Anyone got any ideas for me? Saddle is classed as a jump but is more like a GP.

Thanks I'll have a look. The saddle is fitted to him with a thin numnah so sheepskin will be too thick but they might have something else. I honestly didn't think it would be so tricky to find such a bog standard item!

Thank you everyone. I still couldn't find one on eBay and the Mark Todd ones look good except they.dont seems to do a plain brown. I found the bit on the Nuumed website about custom made so I've emailed them. Thanks 😊

Maybe not quite what you were originally looking for but I swear by Thermatex saddle pads. They are a little thicker than plain cotton (but not super thick like sheepskin) but dobt move on my broad backed, no withered native. They have the added bonus of wicking away sweat too..

I like Premier Equine saddle pads. They have a bit of wither allowance - just a regular amount though, not like Nuumeds which I've found to have a huuuuge wither fork.

They do various shapes in regular quilted cotton and I've found them to wash and wear really well.

I have a close contact X-country cut under my Ideal GP and it's a neat fit. Not excessively forward cut.

Thank you, they look promising!

I use the nuumed wool ones on my Arab's one is quite flat backed and they are fine on him.
I use the wool ones on my older Arab - he has to have them because seams cause rubs. Yes they are fine, much less shaped than the thin cotton ones. The saddle fitter told me only to use a thin plain numnah under new saddle though. Wish I'd asked him to fit the saddle with a wool numnah now!
