hello helpful peeps

I am and have been looking for a thick padded numnah for ages without success. I have a old roma thick padded cloth that I can't replace. I have tried the 12 oz numed collection but these don't seem to be thick enough. however I have held off trying the 12 oz with sheep skin.........any views??

I have had my saddle checked/fitted etc and my horse has had back treatments and is coming up but as you are aware this can be a clow process.

does anyone know where I can get a really thick - about 20 - 30 oz saddle pad/cloth/numnah????

thanks

Have you looked at PolyPads? Dont have one myself but have only heard good things about them and they do a really thick one I think!!! Hope that helps :D

hi Horse Mad,

Yes I have but I seem to loose them.... they slip really badly on my boy, have tried the nunmah and the pads but the pads don't come down long enough either ....

oh well thats not good  I dont know what to suggest know? I know roma do a very simular one to polypad but if you didnt get one with them I think you would have the same problem  I would try a sheep skin!

NuuMed make only wool lined pads - the wool fleece is sewn into a knitted backing. I like wool, but sheepskin is your ultimate here - I use Mattes pads for remedial and asymmetric fits in my work, worth a look as I think they have the best sheepskin available, and the correction system is worth adding, having a shim pad in the tackroom is always useful.
