Hey all,

A couple of random questions from me regarding BD regionals qualifications - it's been a few years since I've done anything and I just don't understand the new criteria/ groups blah blah.

My horse has 4 prelim results all over 70% all in silver SQ qualifier classes from May + June this year - is that what I need to qualify for the Prelim Summer Regionals?

If yes then I'm looking at Somerford which is in a few weeks (is that even the right compeition?) Would I need to send score Sheets in to prove I have qualified (I've not heard anything from BD to say I have) anything else special I need to do? Do they not run warm up classes at regionals any more?

Entries close this sat so get your entry in asap! Don't wait for the email just send the qualifying stuff once it eventually filters through. Normally we'd have our emails first but hey BD seems to be becoming ridiculous with their delays...

Just double check your eligibility for prelim silver but otherwise you sound good to go, well done :).
 
Sounds like you're qualified, bd will eventually send out emails to confirm but that takes ages. Give the office a call if you want to double check.

No need to send your sheets in, the eligibility will be checked by the show/bd.

It's getting quite rare to have warm up classes these days as the champ classes are really busy :(

Check the closing date for entries as they close earlier than normal shows. Good luck!

They also don't seem to know their ar $e from their elbow, rule book says we're in the winter Q period as do schedules, yet bd Wales say on their FB page that the cut off for summer q is 30th June?!

I must admit BD does seems so far behind in every respect when you consider BE and how everything is so well organised!

Who'd of thought paper entries and cheques would still be a thing in 2017!

I always check the venue's website - the BD schedule page always seem to say to send a form and cheque, but almost all venues around us have an online entry system. There's only one left that require a cheque, which means I hardly ever go there! Even then they're happy for you to email the entry form and send the cheque later.

Good luck at Regionals! You should have a great time with those scores :D

Ps I could start a rant about BD but I'll just say one thing - they still haven't put up my Areas result on the website and it was 5 weeks ago!!! Absolute joke.
