Sorry, mind gone mad and having a mega dippy moment!

If say I'm on the left rein and turn up the centre line at C, do I leg yield to E or B? If B do I change the diagonal before I start the leg yield or when I hit B?

Thank you

Usually you would go to the right, if you are on the left rein so if turning down centre line at C, you would go towards E (I think - sorry, I think of arenas the other way up!!)

Re diagonal - I almost always do lateral work in sitting trot

ETA - but, you can do whatever you like really, but going the opposite way in leg yield just might be a bit harder because of the way the horse would be inclined to drift out on the turn down the centre line - to me, it would seem more natural to do half pass the other way round (C to B).

Initialy you would go in the dirrection of the outside shoulder.
This is easier and it helps develope the connection forward to the outside rein from the inside leg.
Once this is established then you can yeild in the other dirrection as this i a little more difficult as you have to change the flextion and therefore the balance is a little more tricky to maintain.
I do this exercise on the diagonal line it really helps with suppleness , and connection
