Numpty question about mares in season

Does a mare who has a season but doesn't become pregnant bleed like women or dogs? I didn't realise until recently that dogs bleen during a season

and it made me wonder about horses!

No i don't believe mares do bleed. I have never seen it anyway and i worked with approx 40 broodmares for 3 years!

I've had mares for 20 odd years now and I've never seen one bleed from being in season.

Just for info, not all bitches bleed! Some bitches will bleed which is a nuissance and others don't - a blessing!

I have two mares and neither have ever bred, just squirted me if I walk too close to their bums! lol
