Numpty Question - are Grackles Dressage legal??

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this...
I didn't think grackle nosebands were dressage legal, but I've certainly seen them used in BE dressage - are they BE dressage legal but not BD or am I way off the mark??!!

Yes, legal for BE dressage, not legal BD dressage, but confusingly legal for dressage Ireland I believe!

Does this mean there could be differences in the bits allowed for BD Vs BE dressage...?
I understand that BE have a rule that the bit must only contain one metal type??

No, as far as I know bits which are BD legal are also BE legal, and BE defer to BD and ultimately the FEI as to whether a bit is competition legal or not. I asked a question of BE and BD recently regarding a bit, and BE sent the question to BD, who also didn't know so they went to the FEI.
