And you can alter what you quote by deleting stuff between the quote openers which looks like [ quote ] without the gaps, and the quote closers which look like [ /quote ]

Because you need to make sure that there is only one
[ quote] at the start, and one [ /quote] at the end of the text you want to quote. Your contributions should be after the last [ /quote] bit....
