I had my mares back shoes off about 4 weeks ago as her feet are solid and we are not doing so much hacking now.
Just lately when I ride her in the school she is a bit "awkward" she is usually a bit lazy if she can get away with it but she is at the moment very anti about it.

I feel I am arguing with her to get her to work on the bridle.

Could this have anything to do with her shoes coming off?

I am thinking in a unlevel way as in is her back end slightly lower than her front? I know lots of horses work with front shoes only but has anybody had this problem?

She has had hock problems a year ago and a pelvis issue before I bought her.

Sorry if this sounds stupid and the difference must be very minimal but it is the only thing I can think of, it is not like the usual awkward when her saddle needs adjusting?

BTW Saddle fits, Chiro not due for another 3 months.
(Maybe she has the winter blues!)

We had one that when ridden in a sand school the horse would go mad and anti everything like you said, but out was fine.

We found out that the sand was effecting her hooves and making them sore to work on sand. Strange I know, as soon as she had shoes back on she was fine, very srange but that was that.
