Numpty things you have done?

I had a lovely but very difficlut 17.2 gelding to brake that bronked for england, who I never came off.

I borrowed my friends rock stead cob for a quiet ride, she was trotting along (with me chatting away) then put her head down suddenly to eat grass and I rolled straight over her head and landed flat out in front of her.

My friend still wont let me forget it!

Thought of some more. Put noseband on outside of cheek-pieces when tacking up (aged about 13). On a further bridle-y note, on work experience when I was sent off tack-cleaning I managed to put the reins back on the wrong way round (buckles facing outwards) on every single bridle I cleaned - how? Gotten all groomed, tacked up, ready to ride, and realised that my hat is miles away at home. Also done the same with riding boots (won't ride in Hunters as had a scary experience doing that once and learned my lesson; rather wish I'd just listened to what I'd been told in the first place about never riding in wellies

). Mistook a hi-viz tail band for a hi-viz bandage and spent an age hunting for its missing partner. The more I sit here thinking, the more I can remember. Oh dear.

...I walked in to the barn to be greeted by another livery who gave me a very funny look and said "Erm...is his saddle supposed to be under his belly?!"

I find it hilarious that they actually asked that question!

I lost some confidence riding after a painful fall - so I found the most bone idle cob in the world, borrowed her for a hour intending to ride her out and regain some bottle. As soon as i jumped on I lent forward to give her a hug, she dropped her greedy head to eat grass and I rolled down her neck back on to the floor!
I decided that was enough, got my own nutter out of the field and went for a gallop instead - end of problem.

That was probably me being on the receiving end of that! I got legged up twice in a row and sailed straight over the pony. I have been left with a total fear of leg-ups (to the point where I'd rather scramble/vault!).

I left Cass without water once (which resulted in colic

). That was awful.

A few months ago I was trying "round the world" (!) on Ronnie and someone made a loud noise outside the (indoor) arena and Ronnie panicked and ran away - with me facing the wrong way
