I used it years ago and I'm afraid it didn't work for me. The current one I'm on advises to use the loading dose until the horse is as you want him, usually 7 to 10 days then reduce to maintenance.

Horse first relax me. Unfortunately it really is a game if trial and error. I also find calming cookies help but some people don't rate them!! Hope you find something that helps.

Yes it really is isn’t it! I think our issues are grass related and low magnesium levels.

Hi, I am a long time lurker on this forum, first time poster, but thought I'd give you my tuppence worth!

I have been using MAH since my mare started randomly headshaking under saddle in December. Turns out she has a myriad of issues but not actual trigeminal headshaking thank goodness!! After about 10 days of the loading dose she was significantly better and we dropped to the maintenance dose.

However, it does say in the instructions that for headshaking you might need a higher dosage at peak times and I've found that she needs a bit extra (20ml per day) to take the edge off. Currently 60ml twice a day.

If it's just an issue with your grass, hopefully it will be an easier fix for you. Good luck!
