Does anyone have any pics/videos/experience of the PN SJ at Nurstead Court?

Have seen comments that it is not particularly flat, is well up to height but that the dressage is really nice and quiet. I haven't been there before and it will (hopefully) be my first run of the season seeing as I didn't get in to the Munstead Intro.

Thanks everyone

It is a really nice event and always seems to be warm - I did the Novice there and am hoping to do the PN this year with my 5yr old. The SJing is on a slant, but they did only have one fence going down hill on the slant last year. It is a pain I would have thought at the higher classes like IN maybe but I didnt think it was that bad in the Novice so im sure the PN will be fine on a slant! After all they are all eventers and used to jumping on hills etc!

The XC is hilly but nice - PN isnt too tricky apart from the skinny at the last out of the water - always seems to catch a few out. I posted course photos on here a little while ago.

Thanks HollyJane, yes I saw those, looked like nice fences and hoping to go and have a look at the course before I put my entries in, just to get an idea.

Seems as though a few from the forum will be going to Nurstead this year.

Not open for schooling unfortunately, just going to have a look at the course as have never been there and not really sure what to expect.

Will see you there then, will be the PN for me too.

It is a lovely event - and the dressage is away from the jumping and very quite.

The XC is quite hilly - need a fit horse.

And it is quite a walk down to SJing and XC from lorry park!

I went last year, the dressage is lovely, although I hated the show juming, I would say it is more than a slant it is undulating. I sat and watched a lot of the pre novice last year and so many people had problems especially with poles down and stops. The xc was inviting but did have several of the novice fences in it also. However the event had a great atmosphere and was a lovely place to be.

hi ,im hoping to walk the course at nurstead b4 i enter,as its my 1st p.N.Heard its not a good 1st timer?? meant to be 2 large drops/steps leading to jump at bottom?? BUT it wud be good to give it a go,munstead course is a very easy intro isnt it(walked course 2 wks ago),nothing like the intro i did at firle.
Happy to meet up 1 w.end or eve 2 walk course if anyone is up 4 it????

think there would be other PN courses that would be more suitable for a first one....ie like pulborough or munstead.

I know the drops that you are talking about, and have ridden the course (xc schooling, last year - its open for 2 weeks after the event). For some reason my horse didnt want to jump the fence just before the drops....am hoping he will be bolder this time round!

Where r your pics of nurstead pls??? can i type you name in on here and it brin gs ur posts up????(all a bit new 2 me!!)kind regards
