Bertie did what R's Mum thought was his best test this season so after a 29+ at Gt.Witch we were very disappointed with 39. Was clearly a tough judge though because they were in a reasonable position after dressage and Rosie's PC dressage trainer, who was there with someone else, agreed it was harsh having looked at the video. But that's stressage for you.

The SJ looked huge and is on a pretty steep slope so we were far from hopeful but the boy done good and went clear - he only touched one pole. I was a bit shattered after that because I forgot to breathe while he was going round.

I then walked down to the XC start/finish and stood by the water and watched quite a few before R set off. She seemed to reappear very quickly and flew through all the jumps which I could see from where I was standing. The time keeper person went over to her as she walked off the course and said they were only the third combination all day to get round within the time so big smiles all round.

We waited for ages because it looked possible they'd be placed but gave up when we were told it would be at least an hour before prize giving and headed for home.

You know that thing about getting all 3 right in one day - we really think Bertie and Rosie did just that today and if the DR judge didn't agree that's just too bad :)

Curry and a glass of red if you got this far - I will inflict some video on you as and when :D

Thats fantastic!

Luck of the draw with dressage i find... especially this season for some reason!? I thought that was one of the biggest novices ive seen; it made the distances on the SJ ride short and made XC slightly more difficult too!

Good luck at Rosie's next event :)

Wow what a fab day!! I saw Rosie going over to sj warm up as I was walking back. I'm very impressed she made the time because it was quite tight!

Thank you people :D Still don't know where she ended up but as threatened I have uploaded video of each phase

Stressage - still can't see where she got all the penalties but never mind

SJ - I found watching the vid more relaxing than seeing it live as it wasn't necessary to hold my breath lol

A bit of the XC - should probably have gone further up the hill to see more of the action

Tinkerbell, how did you get on or did you not stay for your result either?

I have to agree with you that her dr test deserved more marks! I suppose that's dressage though, unfortunately! Bertie looked very keen in the sj, Rosie rode him very well. I'm sure they would have finished very high up the leaderboard!

I had a 37 dressage and double clear but wanted to get home so Remy could have an hour in the field and I would only have been 9th at best so didn't want to wait ages. Am about to do a report.

Thank you L, if only he were a bit more consistent (sigh). He obviously likes his SJ on a slope, he SJd clear on his last visit there back in 2008!

Absolutely fantastic RF!! Very well done to Rosie and Bertie! What a clever pair :D And I'll raise a glass to them both for getting all 3 right on the same day, its no mean feat! :D

Thank you Hattikins - cheers! A friend who was there today has phoned Rosie and apparently they were 4th in the end so not too bad at all :-)

Well done to Rosie, she's looking great.:) Sounds like harsh dressage judging was the order of the day (go and nag Thistle for a report on Hector please;))

Thank you everyone - she's a very happy bunny :-)
Baydale, Thistle has commented on other people's posts and says Bee is doing the report but is working today, so we'll just have to be patient I'm afraid.
