Just took Hatts to Nurstead for a nice easy run round the PN after our first Novice run two weeks ago. Nothing earth shattering to say really
She did a decidedly mediocre dressage which i was frankly annoyed about as i know i can ride her sooooooo much better - so was on 35.5 which left us in the top 8ish after dressage. Onto the SJing and madam definitely tried her luck in there!
Gave at least 3 fences the tiniest of rubs with her front feet which annoyed me as yesterday took her to pyecombe to jump a 1m 2phase as we havent jumped anything for 2 weeks and she jumped double clear! Anyway we managed a clear today by the skin of our teeth and i really had to work for every fence
Onto the XC which was lovely as usual and gave a nice ride
Madam was being a complete plonker in the warm up with her finale being a full on rear up the hill as a horse cantered towards her, while i was half way through altering my stirrup so i only had one hand on the reins
honestly!! Anyway she gave me a lovely ride XC, I didnt really get after her on the time stakes and so consequently we ended up with 4time which pushed us from 4th to 8th place. Still pleased though as another double clear and a nice rossie to bring home aswell
Kentisheventer - were you no.555?? if so saw you ride your test which looked lovely and passed you several times but wasnt 100% sure it was you!
well done for today!
Hope those of you jump judging etc. enjoyed the lovely weather and didnt have any heart attacks when a certain ginger baggage jumped your fence
