Any inside info on the the ground at Nurstead (or whether it's likely to be going ahead for that matter) in view of this terrible drought we're experiencing ?

I know the organisers will have pulled out all the stops but if the emergency vehicles can't access the course ....................

It's a very light soil so shoud take the rain. This wind should help dry the surface too.

Hopefully we will hear something soon!! im competing on the sunday so will have the worst of the ground... We have had so much rain, im not sure how likely it is that the event will go ahead :-(

It's sunny and very windy here (near Nurstead) this evening and weather looking ok tomorrow and Saturday. Am FJ'ing Saturday with last to go XC at past 6pm so although not competing, hoping for a relatively dry and super safe day. Good luck to you all!!

BE are doing a course inspection tomorrow morning. I am writing for dressage judge and will be notified after the inspection. Hope it goes ahead as it is a great event.

According to the BE website, it's been cancelled. On the plus side, as a volunteer, I don't have to get up at 5.30 tomorrow. On the minus side, I was so looking forward to it. Ah well. Better safe than sorry and all that.
