Hi my vet has suggested I try feeding Nutriquin+ to my older gelding who suffers from hock arthritis. It can only be bought from a vet so cannot find any reviews on it.
I have been feeding it to my 6 year old lab who sadly has both hip and elbow dysplasia and unfortunately too advanced in all joints to be suitable for operations. Within 3 days of going on this and also an anti inflammatory when she was first diagnosed 6 weeks ago she has been like a new dog. Poor thing has gone from laying around moaning, struggling to get up and down and generally pitiful to a full on healthy young dog that we now have to try and restrain in case she aggravates her wrecked joints!
Delighted with the results, and said to my OH if one of the herd every get arthritis I will be putting them on this too. BUT it is pretty expensive for dogs, so wondering just how expensive horse sized dosage would be? Did your vet give you any indication of costs involved in using it?
no waiting for a price from the vet he is on other supplements that all add up and are making a bit more comfortable but not enough. I know my vet really rates it but was worried about the price. Will let you know.
