Apparently they must wait to within 48 hours of the event to cancel or they lose their money BE put in, so decision is apparently being made tomorrow morning.
I honestly can't see how they could run it, the ground here where the horses are standing by the gates is over a foot deep in mud, and we don't get mud here even in winter like that! our soil is granite and drains incredibly well, Nutwell is sandy but also clay..
The rain has been less today but the weekend is predicted to be very wet, if so they will have to tow boxes on and off the field I reckon, and the place will be a quagmire.
I'll be watching the website tomorrow and will post here if any decision is made.

That will be disappointing, everyone has told me it is such a nice event, i was really looking forward to it. Oh well, better to save the neddies legs and the course for next year i suppose!.

don't think like that just yet.. it hasn't rained at all here today, and our field is fine to ride in, (where as it's usually the first to get boggy)..

Think positive woman

well I can post pics of Warren farm's arena today when it rained stair rods!
Poor CC was soaked and went off before her next lesson to change into waterproofs..
If it doesn't rain between now and Sat I reckon it's rideable, but the weather is supposed to return with a vengeance on Friday, I am so fed up of it now.
Our horses lost weight this week due to constantly being soaked, part of our drive has washed away and my sweet peas collapsed under the weather.
CCj was soaked to the skin after her lesson today, when it rains there, boy does it rain! I craftily sheltered in that little hut on the bank..

I saw Mossrose who is looking forward to being on a computer again, she and R were also getting pretty wet... She is off to Hartpury this autumn and taking her horse.
CCJ had a super lesson and finished very happy with Jacques, he behaved well apart from leaping sideways when a jump pole was dropped, but it's all good practice for him especially riding with other horses in the arena.
I think they all had a good laugh at his five feet leaps, he did plenty of those!
We plan to carry on with the lessons, it's not a bad drive just an hour and CC is such a good trainer.

Oh I will be really gutted if it cancels, I had psyched myself up for it totally, and it was to be my last run before September.
