Hello

Hope every one is well.

I would like to get back in to horses, ideally working with them.
I haven't worked around horses for a long time due to a trapped sciatic nerve, which took years to sort its self out.
I still get stiffness, but really would like to give working with horses one more go before I give up hope of working with horses again.

I spoke to someone who owns a riding school where I learnt how to ride and he said he recommends NVQ training as they will assess what I know by watching.
BUT the NVQ means I will be paying a yard for me to work for them plus paying them for the NVQ
Im not sure on costs ( i'm over 24!)

I was looking in to teaching, but after chatting with my old Riding school i'm not so sure if i want to be back to be around the horses ( if that makes sense?)

Any advice would be great. Thanks :) x

Check out the course syllabus online for both. You don't have to be qualified, you could work on the NVQ stuff independently and then take the practicals.

Over 24's not old, I did my AI at almost 30. All you need is determination and study time.

Thank you for your reply :)
The reason I say over 24 is because someone told me that if your over 24 you have to pay for the NVQ and work on the yard for 15 hours a week. I haven't looked in to cost etc yet.

Thanks again :)
