Nylon plaited reins: can you still buy them?

As title really.

I'm really wishing I could get some good old-fashioned nylon reins, full-size, with a buckle join in them.

I enjoyed nylon reins first time around - shows how old I am - they were fab for riding in all weathers coz never slipped and were virtually indestructable.

But now getting hold of them is like finding hens teeth!!!

Does anyone know if anyone still stocks them?

I used to have a bright red pair, and matching nylon string girth. Guess i must be a simular age to you lol

IV Horse do them, they call them games reins and have them in various colours.

Used to use similar on my games pony many years ago...poor thing was kitted out in blue reins, blue string girth, blue velvet browband, you name it if it came in blue he wore it ...,.. and his stable name was Blue ...oh the shame!

As in Sheila 'Freeman'? Is she still selling second hand from her house? If so, wow, used to get stuff from hers back in 1980's - very early 80's.

I used to go to her too. Small world! I remember going through PILES of clothes and boots... We spent many a happy hour there! She should have had a tea room too - it was the only thing it lacked!
