So finally got round to buying some of these, for my arthritic lab, how much do you feed and how i.e with or without shell etc? thanks!

Sounds as if you got the real thing, and I have no experience with that.
But I've bought pills with it from a healthstore, and on the package it said 3 pills per day to adult humans, so i gave my old dogs 1 pill a day.
Why not just try and give it, shell and all, to the dog and see what happens? I could only say that with the pills, there was a change within three to seven days, not a huge change, just less stiffness.

I also gave the oldies Glucosamin at times, but I felt the Lyprinol (green lipped...) pill worked better.
Best of all was acupuncture, they behaved like (almost) puppies again and I still could quit all supplements for nearly a year, and then they got new acupuncture.

from Sweden.

Buy frozen NZ GLMs from supermarket - you can get them in boxes.

Do NOT cook them, they have to be fed raw to do any good. Take them out of freezer - they take less than an hour to defrost. Pull mussels out of shell, throw shell in bin and give dog mussel.

When I started my old dog on them, she was given 2 mussels in the morning and 2 in the evening. After a couple of weeks she then went onto a maintenance level of 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening.

They worked very well indeed - much better than the medication the vet had given previously.
