Hi

I'm a new visitor to the forum but was just wondering if anyone has any experience of Oak Tree Farm Livery Yard in Shillingford St George, just outside Exeter.

I'm looking for somewhere we can keep my wife's horse under full livery and this is one of the places we're looking at. We've taken a drive up there and the hacking looks great but we'd like some feedback before taking the next step and calling to visit.

Any feedback on this place would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Hi takeiteasy, welcome to the forum, hope you'll find it as helpful as I have over the years. Ridden past Oak Tree and it looks good but never been inside so can't give you and good or bad advice. Hacking out in the area is excellent with quiet lanes, high hedges (great in winter) and some hills to get you horse fit if needed and access to Haldon forest. I've used Hyperion Stud which does livery if they have space. Very high standards in the yard but costs very reasonable, if you are in the area looking I would recommend that you stop by here also? Here is a link to their site: http://www.dwdwhat.com/Hyperion/

Good luck, Welly

A friend of mine kept a horse at Hyperion and she loved it there, said it had great atmosphere, great facilities and lovely hacking so another vote for Hyperion!
