Its my first showjumping competition for 15 years on sunday, does anyone have any tips on how to make it less stressful/settling in anxious horse(and rider for that matter!)?We are doing complete beginners and beginners so really shouldnt be worried! Guess I should just get there early and remember to keep breathing!!!

sorry not got any tips. when i go showjumping i smoke a lot and take a lot of rescue remedy! but once i'm in there i'm fine. for me it's the warm up i hate it.
good luck and enjoy it.

Just keep calm, remember to breathe (sp?) and you will be fine. Oaklands is a really nice place to jump, it will be very relaxed there. I was meant to be jumping there on Sunday as I keep one of my horses there but going XC instead. Will be jumping at the one in december though. Good luck

Hello I did my first one a couple of months ago and got myself in a real state about it! Looking back now I don't why I worried about it - I had the best time, and despite being absolutely convinced I wouldn't be able to - I DID remember the course! You will be absolutely fine - very best of luck.
