Oakwood Stud Nottinghamshire

Hi ive just seen a horse on Oakwood studs web site I quite like the look of. As it is miles and miles from where I live has anyone got any experence of them. Any info would be great. Thanks!!!

I assume the sisters have gone their separate ways as the website now says Jennie ‘formerly of Oakwood Stud’. I have been there on a couple of occasions to look at horses. It’s a nice set up and they seemed like nice girls. Horses weren’t what I was looking for. They tend to sell mainly Polish Warmbloods but do sell ‘on behalf of clients’.

They used to own oakwood stud in Thorpe but have recently sold up so Robyn is now working out of Newark dressage instead, They have some nice horses that they produce well definately worth a look.

When they had Caythorpe, I bought Ryu off them (dark bay in sig) nice girls lovely horses, professional set up and the horse was as described.

I bought my horse off them. Exactly what it said on the tin, lovely yard, would go straight back if I needed to! PM me if you would like to know more!

i bought my horse off them (daniavi in my sig) exactly what they described him as, lovely girls, would always go back if im ever on the lookout again

i would deffos reccomend. although a couple of people told me to watch myself with them...but iv never had any problems xx

I bought a horse from them too back in 2006.
He was as desribed but i never recieved his vetting certificate that i asked for repeatedly and his passport wasn't registered in their name either.
I don't think this was particularly dodgy though as a lot of dealers get a horse a new pasport to hide their contacts details. I had him vetted myself and he passed , so no issues there either.
Other than that, really nice girls. They had lots of time for us and never pushed the sale. You can have a look at him if you like YouTube
