I am window shopping. One advert was really good.Short video showing a picture of horse from front and side. This was followed by the horse being bridled, mounted from a mounting block, ridden in a large field in walk, trot and canter,Small jump and then down a steep bank into water. He was then shown being ridden in the school and loaded into a small box.It makes me seriously interested.Awaiting vets report on current one following hock injections and rehab.

You have had a better experience that me then Eahotson!

Some of the adverts are really good in terms of what they show the horse doing but some of them are dreadful. And I don't think I've seen one yet where there is a video of the horse being trotted up or away but I suspect that might save people a lot of wasted journeys!

There is a photo of one of a 17K horse on one of the websites looking terrible, its between a canter to trot transition by the look of it, legs everywhere, I really don't know why they even bothered with the photos. I really don't know why people don't make more of an effort. I think it's probably because there are so many people willing to pay such a lot of money these days that they don't really have to make much of an effort.

The one I went to see (my first out of two viewings) was sadly unsuitable due to possible lameness issues but it was immaculately turned out and presented.

The second one I went to see couldn't have been more of a contrast, this wasn't turned out to much of a standard, but was also unsuitable due to conformation issues. I'd been very excited about that horse, part of me now wishes I'd sat on it at least, but I couldn't let heart rule head and my head was saying with conformation issues like that it wouldn't have coped very well.

The third horse that I really wanted to view last weekend I could have thrown a brick through the sellers window and she wouldn't have noticed, I left that many voice mails and texts and the horse is still for sale, but we are away very soon so its not practical to even think about until our return. Great shame as it was ideal (on paper) but then so were the other two and that's what I have to keep telling myself.

Another seller I've sent three long texts to, with photos of what I'm looking for plus speaking to him at length on the phone. But every time I ring him he says "now tell me what your'e looking for" and I grit my teeth as he is such a nice chap but inside I feel like screaming. I'm staying with him as he's had some great recommendations from friends but I don't think I shall ever actually meet him in person as I can't get anywhere with him.
