Observant OH ? Definately NOT!!

A few days ago someone posted about their OH's being observant (or not) in the art of horses. I know mine isn't generally, but I was sure he wasn't as bad as some.
My mind on this has now changed after we visited a friend who has 3 skewbald mini's and 1 brown donkey. The donkey is called Gus, and funnily enough is very 'donkey-fied!'
Friend; here they are, what do you think?
Me; Aren't they lovely, look at the size of those ears on Gus!?
OH; Which one is Gus?
Friend; The donkey.
OH; The small brown and white one?
Me; JAMES , The DONKEY!!
Friend = laughing
OH; Arhh, the brown one?
Me; Yes, the brown one!!
OH; I've never seen one this close before.
Me; Thats your excuse then? Have you never seen a picture of a donkey before?
OH; Yeah, just didn't know they looked like this close up!

Me = I give up!
Friend = still laughing, and then Gus eeooorrrss
Friend; just to prove he is a donkey!! lol

Can I claim a prize now please!?? lol

My dad is pretty unobservant when it comes to horse: he was at the farm with my sister once and volunteered to bring in her bay, TB gelding, who we'd owned for a while. He went off to the field, selected a bay, TB gelding, and took him back to the yard. My sister felt very mean when she had to tell him he'd picked the wrong bay, TB gelding . I know bay TBs all look pretty similar, but this was one was bright bay, whereas my sister's was so dark bay he was almost black!
