Hi all,
My pony occasionally head shakes, usually at the same point on the lane that leads back to the yard at the end of a ride. Could it just be excitement at returning home?
He has recently had his saddle refitted and his teeth done. The saddler didn't feel I should be unduly concerned about his back.
I did wonder if perhaps the bridle was uncomfortable around his poll, but that doesn't explain why he only does it at certain points. I also took his noseband off earlier in the year as he was always moulting his face hair and I thought it might be itchy and sweaty.
He has had a change of bit, from his waterford which he no longer needs, back into a jointed wilkie and that doesn't seem to have made any difference.
Any thoughts?
