My old boy is aged but never showed many signs of slowing although he is so laid back these days its lovely to ride him!
My sharer rides him 2-3 times a week and he finished a season just hunting a couple of times a week with local master where he was a bit footy on few occasions but not hopping lame.
Horse is never sick or sorry although can be stiff.
Sharer called me to today to say that on road he really didnt want to trot although he was striding out in walk as usual, when he did trot on road, he was definately nodding. I said just to walk and see how it went he was fine.
She checked feet for stones and other obvious things etc.
Just got a text to say he is now fine and trotted, cantered on rest of hack no problem?! - it seems to be higher up like his shoulder rather than his foot.
NO heat whatsoever, no suggestion of abscess etc never had any type of thiing like that, really odd.
Do you think age is catching up with him and he was stiff or pulled a muscle? She said he seemed to loosen up and got on with things like he usually does........only a concern as he could benefit from a load of supplements if its joints etc.
