Last week I noticed a strange lump/swelling on my boy's belly, where the rib cage slightly protrudes (possibly the sternum, been a while since I did biology!) . Basically, the left side protrudes slightly more than the right. It's not hard, nor fluidy. Kind of squishy and it's underneath the skin.
Any ideas what it could be? I can't find any bite marks or wounds. I should add he has been on box rest for last 3 weeks. It hasn't changed shape or size since I first spotted it, but i'm pretty certain it wasn't there before hand!
Vet is out next Wednesday to check his progress anyway so will get him to have a gander then although I would appreciate any suggestions as i'm really stumped!
