Odd question I know but would you use manure on a veggie patch that's come from a pony who's on pergolide?

I knwo that the drug has been withdrawn from human use because it's not safe but does anyone know if it passes through the system into the manure? Would it affect or pass through into my veggies?

Trying to grow more stuff this year but not sure on using my poo pile because of it!

Has it definitely been withdraw? A relative of mine still takes it for Parkinsons, as far as I know but I could be wrong.

I would have thought the body would have broken it down, but maybe you could look it up and see how long it takes to metabolise in a horse? Don't know where that interesting fact would be though!

My friend is a vet and I am going for a dog walk with her in half an hour, so will ask and get back to you later if no-one else replies.

Thanks! It's just one of those odd things that plays on your mind. Agree that it should be broken down but.....

Am growing things to know that they've not got pesticides etc but what if??
