Hi all

My horse is just coming out of a year of canker treatment which has been successful, so I'm looking at starting to work her a little .She has been barefoot for nearly a year bit not working, and is currently going either in the field, walked in hand or on a walker, she has her feet scrubbed daily with Hibiscrub and NT dry powder applied as well to ensure the hooves stay dry and clean. Her diet is simple - haylage from the farm nearby, Formula Feet and unmolassed chaff with the odd carrot, some rosehip and hawthorn daily as well. Her feet have healed well, her coat is glossy and she is bright in herself, but for some reason the feet look scaly and I'd like to know if it is because of the canker causing inflammation in the growth rings, or if there is something else I should consider....does anyone else have experience of this

Thanks!

JR
