odd scabs

The other day whilst grooming i noticed these scabs on my mares body. They are on her withers, stifle, crest, poll and girth. She dosen't care about me scratching them an picking them off, in fact she quite enjoys it!. They aren't tack rubs as shes not been ridden for 3 mnths due to lamenes.
Any ideas???...

My mare had something that sounds similar a month or two ago. They were almost like spots and when you picked the scab off they were a bit oozy underneath. They started on her bum and went under her belly and on her upper legs and a few on her chest and only one on her neck?
I picked all the scabs and hibiscrubbed daily like I would do for mud fever and they disappeared.
They seemed really itch as she would try and scratch herself against anything including her salt lick hanging up and would pull the most amazing faces when I washed them!
Before anybody says anything, no they did not resemble ringworm or rainscald!!

I assumed it was an allergy to something, she was having a course of Adequan at the time so did wonder if it was that?They have gone and not returned and they did not spread to my other horse and they share a grooming kit.
