we have a new horse coming and she has rubbish feet. she has what I would desctibe as flat carthorse feet with low heels at the moment. the fronts are near enough the same width as length. one hoof is also at least 1/2" smaller than the other. I saw her at the end of last week (and removed the shoe that remained as it was very loose) and they had her trimmed today which has unsupprisingly made her a bit sore and she will come here in 2 weeks. she needs to lose weight so will probably have to have hoof boots to be comfortable on the stones as I dont think her feet will improve if shoes go back on. does anyone have a recomendation from the ones on hoof boutique as ok for the shape please (Renegade Hoof Boots, Equine Fusion Ultra or Performance, Glove Wide, Back Country Wide, Easyboot Trail or Old Mac G2) that would also suit the flat sole and low heel? I am hoping her hind feet will be ok without boots as there were no nail holes showing in them

You can buy the cavallo treks singularly , they are quite a forgiving boot fit wise and so quick and easy to pop on and off., this way you could have two different sized boots!

I was just wondering if you'd had any thoughts about hoof boots?
She sounds exactly like mine, and I'm currently trying to find a hoof boot that will also allow me to fit to two different sized feet!

Mine had about a cm difference between left and right and I am having success with Equine Fusion Ultra which seem quite forgiving. He was in between sizes so I ended up buying both secondhand intending to mix and match if I needed and I found that they came up quite big and the smaller size did both feet

Thanks for the replies. as her feet were very overgrown I am going to let the farrier here see her and maybe do another trim so I have an accurate measurement. I am probably going to be getting equine fusion or old macs as they seem to be the right shape for her

There's a few good facebook groups for hoofboots. Secondhand is the way to go if you think feet might change shape.
Thanks I am going to look for secondhand to start with and see how they go so if I do need a different shape it will not have cost as much to find out. plus I can hopefully sell on for not a big loss
