Odd things you’ve found in a field

How long ago was that? I had a friend in the 80's who discovered the the car boot was full of Christmas presents that her husband had bought for his secretary. Including pink fluffy handcuffs and other "accessories". She drove around leaving them in the drives and on the doorsteps of his bosses and work colleagues. I never knew whether to laugh or be shocked at the vindictiveness, it's not as if she didn't know he had form, she was his secretary when she nicked him off his wife.

A plane. It landed in the mares’ field, the engine having failed. I’m amazed the two pilots walked away without a scratch!

An escaped convict that had been sleeping rough in the local area. He was under a black sack that was moving on a non windy day. Ran back to yard and got a fellow livery and a lunging whip to give it a poke....and out he jumped. Sadly he did a runner as soon as we turned our backs to ring the police??

A hot air balloon - they landed in the middle of the field with a bottle of champagne at the ready! Needless to say half the horses hadn’t noticed and half were terrified ?

Found a dead swan the other day, it had flown into power lines. Horse not fazed in the slightest.

I was going to say 'dead swan' - we are also quite near some power lines and that might have solved the mystery for me...

I’ve just found 2 teenagers, erm, frolicking in our hay fields

Nothing as spectacular as some of these! However my gelding did walk over to me one day with a plastic milk bottle in his mouth. He thought it was great fun!

A Hamster, in it's cage, complete with Pets At Home receipt. It's water bottle was empty though. We called it Lucky.
