Hoping not to offend any veggies or swedish people..
I ordered a box of organic veg..including a job lot of swedes which arrived yesterday..except they didn't!
I have a box of ten huge stinky celeriac! organic, stinky and very keen to remind me that they are related if only by smell to the original food of the devil.. celery

So..I couldn't possibly eat them..or contain them safely in my fridge as I'd never darken its door again..by the time I got home it was too late to do anything or contact the company, which is a small local family business so I feel quite bad about making a fuss... so am i able to feed them safely to my horses as i would a swede? I would drill holes & hang them to slow consumption..maybe use a few for giant conkers/missiles ..the usual..but keen to know if anyone else safely feeds them..and are sweet potatoes safe too? My goats love them but hate real potatoes..the goats & sheep also ran a mile at the smell of the celeriac..and if I made a celeriac stew for the dog who does love it, I've absolutely no room in my already bursting freezer.
And while you're here..what other oddities do you feed your horses occasionally? My lots love natural organic bio yoghurt, eggs and brown bread once in a while..any veggies I do give tend to be in a treat ball or chopped into feed or suspended as an edible passtime.
Surprisingly...offering celeriac to any who have helped...but also very real sugary cupcakes for those of you who are slightly better adjusted!
