got there with plenty of time to warm up for the dressage and she was going really nicely and relaxed- felt really confident as she had improved beyond belief. Got into the arena- lovely up the centre line, but she just suddenly went really tense and wouldn't go into any of the corners of the arena; really dissapointed as she warmed up so nicely!

Onto showjumping which was indoors- we where really really rushed and only had 5 minutes to warm up, so didnt get her going nicely, and the arena was so tight and tiny it really didnt suit her at all, and the fences where so small she wasnt making an effort (havent jumped that small in months!), and she had one down

really pi$$ed off as she shouldnt have, but just one of those things and i know that she jumps better over bigger tracks so wasnt too upset. and the sj was causing alot of problems too!
onto crosscountry- lovely course, but abit easy. nice and solid fences, up to height (was only intro height though, as i was a late entry and the prenovice height class was full up!), but it would be good to get our confidence back after our last terrible outing

was abit worried about number 6, a double of logs, as they had a gap underneith and we both have a "thing" about jumps with gaps under them!

But i neednt have worried

she flew round, absalutely loved it- she felt so powerful and happy, she found it way too easy though and kept locking onto the bigger fences! ground was perfect too, so had a lovely confidence-giving clear round

just glad i could get a run in before area!

so for the next 2 weeks we are concentrating on dressage. as i only have a big open field to work in and no arena, dads going to make some dressage boards for me so i can practice getting her into the corners

also have some unaff dressage comps lined up

White square plastic guttering from B&q or similar is great for practice dressage areans.

come to think of it....... we used guttering too as dressage markers (though it was grey so we painted it white) works a treat
