Hey all

Went to Ickworth ODE to do the 3ft and had a fab day!

Dressage:-Warmed up really beuatifully despite the horrible ground which was rutty everywhere and slippy (rained there last night

) but done a nice test but was fairly stiff on the left rein? (anyone got any schooling tips to help loosen him up?) Still went to look at the marks later and had 27.5? So that meant I was in 2nd place (to a FEI pony rider apparently

) we got mainly 7,8's and a 9!!!

SJ :- Nothing big, or particulary scary, so went in and just had 4 faults at a wall thing which ZILLIONS of people were having down! but gave a really nice feeling round the course so pleased mummy

XC :- Again nothing huge or scary, but still very pleased mummy as he flew round

Anyway turned out I had come 2nd so got a nice ribbon and we brought a photo which I will post the link up to later

Also have now decided that we may have a go at MK intro on a ticket so may be seeing some of you there?

had a good dressage (also in second like you after .. well = second) but that blumming style confused the hell out of him showjumping and was Elim! (was only his 2nd ODE poor baby wasnt expecting that in the sj ring)

we're off to MK intro too (my boss is riding dennis (the grey))

remains to be seen - he may just have to be a big huggable teddy bear and a lawn mower for the rest of his life - which he wont mind but he does love his parties!
 
BBB.. was this who you saw ? if so that was ash and otto. you should have come and said hello!

there dressage (3rd ever test ) was the best score they have recieved so far but still one of the worst in the class.. otto just doesnt get dressage and he could see them going xc which was WAY more interesting! they had 8 faults sj, one on the stile and the last fence which ash said he was disunited . she got given a refusal coming out of the second wood (by the water ) although otto was trying to jump the bigger fence and then couldnt make the one they were suppose to be jumping so he stopped dead and ash kicked him over it anyway, she said he didnt step back or anything but she wasnt bothered as with the dressage and sj she was well out of the placings anyway and otto knows he went clear..minus his martingale as he managed to snap it earlier on!
i thought the dressage arenas were a bit naff, looks like they topped the grass so it was 6 inches long instead of 12.. ash was having a good old moan about the height (or lack of ) of the jumps both xc and sj. told her next time to learn the test for the bigger class and just fluff her way through it as there score will be cack anyway but at least she gets to jump more up to height courses!

she was pleased with how he went in the sj and wasnt bothered that he kicked a few poles about and in the xc she had to push him on, usually its him taking her round..poor boy must still be recovering from camp last week.
well done on your result,what class did you do ? ash was in 3a for the pony clubbers.
eventer girl..that wall and the stile on the bank always cause a lot of problems . did they let you run xc ?
 
BBB! is your horse called sicco B ? (just clocked your signature !) i watched your round and the commentators after they read yours and the horses name saying or is that psycho B! cheeky buggas!

we were the very first in the SJ and they took forever so we got a sneeky look at the fences

Eventergirl87: YES! i saw your name on the list and was like "aha I know scooby do!" Meant to come and hunt you down but forgot, well done, the stile was catching loads out!

Yes took absoulutely ages, didnt help that some certain black beast knocked over the timing equipment though
