My mare is becomming a bit unmanageable with her seasons.
We have recently moved yards and she is now in with a gelding and it has made matters worse. She wont leave him alone and he keeps mounting her! It is more her than him, he ignores her and she just irritates him until he gives in

I have spoken to the vet and they said about something called regumate but it is quite expensive so if I can begin with the cheaper option I will.

Does anybody have any experience with Oestress?

Thanks :D

Yes my daughters old pony was really grumpy when she was in season and used to bite if anyone so much as touched her sides or tummy area. It helped a lot. Well worth a try I'd say x

I use it for my mare and it's certainly chilled her out. I get the 5ltr liquid stuff - buy in bulk as its cheaper!

Also heard that Agnus Castus is the main ingredient in most of the moody mare supplements including Oestress, so you could try that as I'm sure it'd be cheaper. I've not tried it yet as I'd just got a new 5ltr supply when I heard this!!

Been using it for a while and is excellent for my mare. Better than relying on magic (which didn't work at all, not very surprising really).
Dodson and Horrel (gah horrific spelling!) Stroppy Mare is good too. Looks and smells like herbal tea though. :)

Oestress worked very well for my mare who seemed to suffer from ovary pain. She was so much happier. However she was never particularly flirty so I'm not sure how much effect there would be on that aspect of her behaviour.

this is the second year i have used oestress for my girl, not because she is grumpy or mad for the boys.... just because during her season she is a monster to ride!!
i`m very happy with the results!!
