Hi all - anyone done off grid menage lights via batteries or the likes? Any suggestions welcome. Trying to think ahead to winter where small person needs to ride in the evenings once or twice a week (I know I said the W word…🫣)

Yes you did, but also used the dreaded M word,
Please, please, it is MANÈGE,
not ménage (which is a household!)
Hope you find suitable lights, unless you really are trotting round your living quarters?

You can get battery operated 'work' lights for building sites etc. They are only the size of a small handbag so could be put out and brought in as required. I looked at them last year but never ended up buying any. I really should as it would make evenings a little easier.

@Exasperated I'm old so I call it a school 😜
Very sensible, especially now we’ve left Europe.....
Planning dept couldn’t handle French in dealing with a local application recently, so opted for “horse training arena, aka HTA” in all correspondence! PS.their floodlighting was subsequently banned, so always try to keep the neighbours informed and on side.

There are a few battery ones here.

I don't think solar would be enough power in winter - I have solar powered lights in my tack room and they don't get enough power to be useful. I've reverted back to battery lights and just take them home to charge. Think I'll ask OH to have a look at the list from screwfix and let me know what he thinks would work for outside. I'll keep you posted in case you are interested.
