Does anybody elses horse sulk a bit after being wormed. Hes fine to actually worm but afterwards he seems to sulk a bit, stands at the back of his box and wont accept a polo or carrot and throws most of his feed on the floor. Its almost like he thinks Im trying to poison him! Ive never had one do this before and hes a greedy boy normally. By morning he'll be fine, his hay will be gone and he'll be ready for breakfast. Just odd behaviour, or is it fairly common do you think?

yes i have just wormed my mare tonight! when i gave her dinner she just looked at me and ignored it! shes the biggest pig but wormer does put her off her food! its more common than you think!

Yes, both my two are like this - I think they don't trust you to not give them something fowl tasting again! They wouldn't even accept an apple to take the taste away.

Thanks guys, Ive got used to his funny little ways now after 16 months, but he does worry me when he refuses to eat. I think he definitely suspects Im going to feed him something else horrid though

Mix in a large pot of Organic Natural Yoghurt in each of the three feeds after worming.

My lad is like that every time but do keep a close eye out. I wormed him in february and he didn't eat his tea which i didn't worry about. Went home as he was ok in himself, just got home when my friend phoned he had gone down with colic.
