Off on a big long hack now on the lad, i really need it after the last few days.

I'm really nervous though as he's been a plank the last few weeks and so i've not been out on him in about a fortnight. He saves all his energy on the way out so he can mess about on the way back. He likes to prance sideways down the middle of the road and has a massive fit at any large traffic, generally holding up both sides til we find a drive to go in to let them pass. He's a bit scared of big traffic anyway, but he's always only had a little jump and was getting better til they had to come in for winter.

So please keep fingers crossed i come back in one piece, hopefully we can have enough canters to get him tired out before we come back. He's just too fit for his own good at the moment!

wayyy jealous, im stuck in the office and wont see my baby til the sun has gone down

i had one of those hacks this morning. plodded all way around and on the last stretch walking back past a field of his friends he decided to show off prancing all around the road shying away from a horse lorry of all things with all it's occupants looking on worriedly and my OH came past in his car and shouted out the window ' want some lessons for xmas'. good job i have a sense of humour. thats what you get for having a 4 year old horse i suppose, fun and games!
anywho, got home in one piece, hope you have a great ride!

Was a lovely ride thanks. And he was a star, could tell he was tense all the way but he behaved really well, i'm so proud

Didn't get back til half five as had to take a detour to avoid some building work, and our canter tracks were too boggy to do any more than walk on. So had to come home in the dark in rush hour :s but he was really good and really cheered me up. Clever boy
