Off riding this afternoon - who else :-)

I wish ! It's my Birthday , I should have taken it off work to be honest ! My guys stayed out last night and were both snoozing in the early morning sunshine when I went to de- robe them, sat down with them for a bit and had a pre work chit chat before I realised I was late !!! That will have to do as for some reason people always want to see you on your Birthday ... call me a grump but part of mee would rather be on my own with my Neds !! .... I could just go with hat hair and smelling of wee .... its my Birthday after all lol

Have fun all

:-)

I had a gorgeous 2 hr ride out this morning, beautiful weather and I'm just getting to know the routes as I moved yards just before Christmas. This weather does make you feel inspired and feel so much more positive. Long may it last! May even do some gardening this pm and that would be a shock for the garden!

yup i will be at 5.30 when my dad comes back from work and takes me up there (best dad ever) and will ride in the school for 1/2hour or so not as good as going out my it does!!!

Had a lovely ride this lunch time. Took the Shettie ride and lead and stopped to chat to a few walkers'. Was a really relaxing time and ponies both enjoyed it too

Its my birthday today too and i have had the day off work (note to Ladylina 'book it off next year lol), been absolute bliss, long hack with my best friend, hat hair and stinking of horse wee all day, perfick.....

Yes, I was out too over the lunchtime. It was so hot - I stupidly wore my coat and gloves and nearly fried! Manni seemed to enjoy it and we had a lovely hack.

I took the afternoon off today and went out riding - two and a half weeks into six week roadwork program and today found the first thing she seems to be scared of. Four kids in a garden whizzing round on mini motorbikes - you know the ones which sound like deranged wasps. I was just about to cross an "A" road at the time when she started bouncing on the spot - cue tense, nervous rider!! But we got home in one piece, so alls well that ends well!

I had a lesson at 5:30 and, for the first time in about 6 months, I rode outdoors! The horse is spooky at the best of times and hadn't been ridden outside for 6 months either, but nothing could have spoiled the joy. I had the sun on my back, the wind in my hair, jumps set up for fun and the free feeling of cantering without stirrups, all with a view of the Eden river. It is one of the best hours I have ever spent on the back of a horse... I was on another plane.

Hope everyone else had great weather and a chance to enjoy it today 80)

What a fab day - I nearly beat the kids out of class and was at the yard by 4.30 and had a great schooling sess. Might have to find my sunglasses:D

Only work wednesday evenings so went out this afternoon for a two and a half hour hack. Fantastic day, not a single cloud in the sky and we tried a new route up to the top of a very large hill... the view was absolutely incredible, we could see the entire county right up to the very beautiful burren. Happy out :)

I didn't ride my boy as I've lost my hacking confidence , which in turn un-nerves him ( only to be expected with a young -ish one ) So decided to lift myself out of the depression and actually rang up to view a 14.2hh halflinger owned and used by the RDA , will see him in the morning , so I'm very excited but sad also that I will have to part with a wonderful and genuine soul..but I can't spend all summer longing to ride and just looking at the boy can I..

I went up and schooled for 45min in the little indoor about 11am then horse had farrier then YO asked if I wanted to hack out so chucked tack back on and went out for an hour on hack :) Lovely weather in Aberdeenshire, actually warm! Horse was a bit confused that he was getting tacked up for a second time and not getting to go out in the field. By the time we got back from the hack his field buddies were coming in. But he has got a likit twister thing put up in his stable today so he was happy licking away at that.
